Upgrade your garden with a sun room

It's no secret that the open air does you good. Still, unpleasant weather can sometimes keep us from going outside. A sun room or garden room is therefore the perfect solution! But what is it exactly?

What is a sun room?

A sun room is basically a roof in your garden that can be completely closed with sidewalls. This not only allows you to enjoy the shade when the sun is shining, but also protects you from the wind and other unpleasant weather. Another word for a sun room is a patio cover. The most common ones are made of aluminum, so they’re durable and sturdy enough to mount screens.

Why choose a garden room?

A sun room or patio cover is very flexible in use. Especially if you know that there are different types of patio covers, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. You have patio covers with a fabric roof, louvered roof, glass roof, or a combination of louvers and glass. What they all have in common? You can choose just the right amount of sun and shade.

As our sun lounges are tailor-made, you can fully personalize them. Not to be missed in a sun lounge are the integrated zip screens. They ensure that you can sit perfectly out of the wind while the zip system pulls them taut. Furthermore, you can add atmospheric lighting and a powerful patio heater, so you can relax from early in the morning until late at night. Or how about an outdoor gym or a roof over your jacuzzi? The possibilities are endless!

What is the difference between a veranda and garden room?

Don’t confuse a sun room with a veranda. A veranda is built into the house and often consists entirely out of glass. With a garden room, you can choose whether you want walls or not and they do not necessarily have to be made of glass either. Textile walls are just as useful.

Is a sun room an extension to your house?

Most people choose a stand-alone pergola. This way, you can enjoy your entire garden and have an extra sitting area in the garden. You can also build a patio cover onto your house. That way, you extend your room for living from inside to outside. As you can see, there’s something for everyone.
